Premier Announces Plans for Five-Year Economic Strategy : Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has assured the nation that a significant reduction in electricity prices will be forthcoming.
Speaking at the Independence Day ceremony held at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), the Prime Minister also unveiled plans to present a robust five-year economic strategy aimed at tackling the nation’s financial adversities. In a bid to alleviate the financial strain on the public, PM Shehbaz Sharif pledges relief measures for electricity bills nationwide.
In his address, PM Shehbaz Sharif committed to curbing inflation, lowering electricity costs, and fostering Pakistan’s development. He extended heartfelt Independence Day greetings to the nation, paying tribute to the sacrifices made by martyrs and veterans who secured the country’s independence in 1947. Also, in response to economic hardships, Shehbaz Sharif pledges relief for vulnerable communities.
“The upcoming years are pivotal for both you and the country. Therefore, focus on your studies and acquiring skill-based education, and avoid engaging in the detrimental agenda of adversaries intent on exploiting your potential for anti-state activities,” he urged the youth during the Independence Day celebrations.
The Prime Minister lamented that adversaries are now leveraging digital terrorism to undermine the country’s progress.
Acknowledging the current economic challenges, PM Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the persistent decline in various sectors and stressed the necessity for accountability and strategic planning. He recognized the public’s burden due to inflation and unemployment. Thus, amid growing economic pressure, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif pledges relief in electricity costs to support struggling families.
He called upon the nation to embark on a renewed journey, moving past previous failures and striving for a prosperous future. Emphasizing the urgency of reducing electricity bills, he noted that industrial growth and enhanced exports are unattainable without addressing this issue.
Furthermore, he observed that Pakistan, once ahead of China, has fallen behind and stressed the importance of countering external threats, including digital misinformation.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed his dedication to advancing Pakistan’s economic development and expressed unwavering solidarity with the people of Kashmir and Palestine, vowing continued support until their independence is secured.
