Owing to the protest led by Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI), the authorities have completely sealed the entry and exit points of Islamabad and Rawalpindi in order to refrain the crowd from entering the capital. Also, Faizabad road which is the intersection point of Rawalpindi and Islamabad has also been blocked by containers. Moreover, the entry and exit points of Lahore have also been sealed amid the PTI protests.
However, it is pertinent to mention here that the government has also announced the closure of all educational institutions in Islamabad pertaining to the law-and-order situation in the city. Along with this, the government has also blocked mobile and internet services across the country citing the PTI protest in Islamabad. Also, more than 6,000 police personnel have been deployed in the federal capital citing security threats.
Not to mention, the major caravan led by CM KPK Ali Amin Gandapur is yet to reach the PTI protest location at Islamabad and as per the reports, is on the way. On the other hand, the government has planned a strict crackdown against the protestors in terms of teargas shells and rubber bullets. The entire country has been blocked as the daily life activities of the general public have been seized due to the roads and businesses blockage.
