In a disturbing incident, a suicide attack occurred near Karachi International Airport yesterday, in which two Chinese national got killed. It should be noted that the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility of the suicide attack. Also, the suicide attack has been carried out at 11pm on Sunday and the Chinese staff of Port Qasim Electric Power Company has been targeted in this attack.

The Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is also going to be held in the coming two weeks in Islamabad and the recent attack on Chinese nationals in Karachi raises questions about the security situation in Pakistan.

You keep continuing settling political scores and ensuring number games to pass proposed constitutional amendments but on other side the Chinese are under attack in Karachi. To whom we should blame for this criminal negligence? Responsibility must be fixed.
However, it is pertinent to mention here that the Chinese embassy has also condemned the suicide attack and asked the Pakistani authorities to thoroughly investigate the incident and punish the perpetrators. Moreover, criticism has also been drawn by the Pakistani nationals towards the government due to the unsatisfactory security arrangements for the Chinese nationals.

While the Sindh government authorities are saying that there was no threat alert regarding the attack, however, the responsibility for this attack has already been claimed by Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).

On that note, the Pakistani officials including the ex-President, Dr. Arif Alvi, has condemned this barbaric attack stating that the government must focus on providing fool-proof security to the Chinese nationals.
