The Bollywood actor, Shah Rukh Khan, famously known as “King Khan”, has once again come to the limelight as he won the best actor award at the International Indian Film Academy Awards recently. It should be noted that Shah Rukh Khan has made in debut in the Bollywood in 2023 after a long wait of four years and hence, won the award.
However, it is pertinent to mention here that Shah Rukh Khan appeared in three Bollywood movies in 2023 naming “Pathan, Jawan and Dunki”. The award for which he won was for his double action role as “Captain Vikram Rathore” and “Azaad” in the action movie, Jawaan. Excited for his award, Khan stated at a star-studded award show at Abu Dhabi, “I think I have a little happiness from the audience this year because I worked (again) after a long time.”

Shah Rukh Khan further stated, “I love awards, I’m greedy about awards. I just want to tell you it’s good to be back.” Khan also thanked his wife, Gauri Khan, who is also a film producer, stating that she helped him achieve this award. He also mentioned that the couple also went through some hard time in their personal life depicting the arrest of their son, Aryan Khan, on the charges of drug possession in 2021.
He stated that the tragedy happened to them while he was making the film “Jawaan”, however, his son was later released on the bail.
Lauding Shah Rukh Khan as a remarkable actor of Bollywood, Rajkumar Akella, who is the managing director of Comscore Movies India, stated, “SRK is indeed one of the most iconic and popular Indian film stars ever. His appeal and cultural influence on India and Indian diaspora and even global audiences are far larger than the box office data can ever justify.”
Notably, Shah Rukh Khan also made his name in the Hurun India Rich List, by recording his net estimated wealth of Rs 73 billion. He is an actor whose diaspora has spread not only locally but also internationally and has millions of fans in the world. His recent comeback into the big screen and the winning of awards made his fans excited and optimistic about his upcoming future projects.
Also, his role in the recent thriller movie, Jawaan, was greatly appreciated as he performed the stunts with such precision and excellency despite him being 58 years old. Also, talking about his fans across the world, Khan, while giving interview with Fareed Zakaria, in 2016, said that almost half of his fans are from outside India. This depicts his popularity across the globe as he is the name of every Indian and even it would be right to say, every Asian household.
