In a latest news, the physical remand of Imran Khan’s sisters, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan has been extended by two days in an anti-terrorism court in Islamabad today. It should be noted that the judge Abu al-Hasnat ruled in favor of extending the physical remand for both of them.

The case has been registered at Kohsar Police Station under terrorism charges levied at Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan during D-Chowk protest, Islamabad.

However, it is pertinent to mention here that the police present there put allegations on Imran Khan’s sisters that they were inciting the workers at D-Chowk protest to attack on law enforcement officers. The police also stated that the actions resulted in the injuring of 30 police personnel, thus the judge extended the physical remand for further two days.

On the other hand, the PTI lawyers presented their arguments in favor of Imran Khan’s sisters claiming that they both had been arrested in connection to their familial connections with Imran Khan. The PTI lawyers further claimed that both Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan should be discharged immediately as the accusations against them are completely false.

Regardless of this, the judge Abu al-Hasnat approved the physical remand of both sisters for two days more and the two have been taken to the Secretariat Police Station.

Also, Aleema Khan, before appearing in the court today delivered a message to the party workers to continue the protest until Imran Khan is set free.

It should be noted that both, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, were presented in the court after the police demanded a physical remand for ten days. However, today, the judge Abu Al-Hasnat approved the physical remand for two days more.
