A latest controversy has sparked in Bollywood when actress Divya Khosla Kumar has accused Ali Bhatt of producing a copy of former’s film. Divya Kumar’s movie, Savi, was released in May this year and is based on Savitri and Satyavan story. In this, a housewife makes extraordinary effort to save her husband from the shackles of a high-security prison in England. On the other hand, Ali Bhatt’s fim, Jigra, revolves around her character in which she tries to save her brother and orchestrates a jailbreak.
On the striking similarities between the two films, Divya Khosla Kumar acknowledged them and show gratitude that she was the first one to bring a story like this in Bollywood by exploring it first.
However, it is pertinent to mention here that Divya Khosla Kumar also takes a dig at Alia Bhatt by writing on her Instagram’s story stating, “Went to Citi Mall PVR for Jigra show. Theatre was totally empty, all theaters going empty everywhere. #Aliabhatt me sach mein Bahut #Jigra hai, khud hi tickets karide aur fake collections announce kar diye. Wonder why paid media is silent. #weshdnotfooltheaudience #truthoverlies #HappyDussehra (sic).”

It should be noted that Alia Bhatt’s film, Jirga, collected Rs 4.25 crore on the first day of its release as reported by the India’s trade website “Sacnilk”.
