In a recent update, Imran Khan, the founder of PTI, received a long-awaited medical check-up today at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. The medical examination was carried out by Dr. Asim Yousuf from Shaukat Khanum Hospital, who mentioned that it was the first time in four months that he had seen Imran Khan.
This medical visit comes after Imran Khan’s lawyers submitted a formal request on August 8, urging the court to allow a comprehensive medical evaluation due to growing concerns about his health. After weeks of waiting, the court finally approved the request, enabling Dr. Asim to assess Khan’s condition.

Furthermore, the court has also instructed the medical team to submit Imran Khan’s medical examination report to the court. This directive ensures that the court remains informed about his health condition, emphasizing the importance of transparency and proper care during his time in custody. Sources reveal that Imran Khan has been struggling with a condition known as ‘tinnitus,’ which causes sudden ringing or buzzing sensations in the ears.
This condition often leads to discomfort, with symptoms like mild headaches and dizziness. Unfortunately, this isn’t a new issue for Khan; he’s experienced these unsettling symptoms before, making it a recurring concern. For this very reason, a government-appointed doctor previously prescribed Imran Khan some medication to manage his tinnitus. However, according to sources, during today’s examination, Dr. Asim advised him to stop using these medicines.

Overall, Dr. Asim has been quite optimistic about Imran Khan’s health, stating that he is doing well and is in very good condition. Dr. Asim mentioned that Khan is spending most of his time in jail reading books, and his reading pace has even increased considerably. Following the court’s direction, Dr. Asim will now submit Khan’s medical report to the relevant authorities, ensuring that his health status is officially documented.
