In a recent news, the Pakistan government has put a ban on the Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) on the concerns of the movement posing a threat to the national security. The interior ministry has issued a notification stating that PTM (Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement) has been banned as it has now become a security threat for Pakistan. The notification further stated that PTM is involved in promoting anti-state narratives, hence the ban on this movement is essential for national security.

However, it is pertinent to mention here that the ban has been effective immediately. It should be noted that the head of PTM (Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement) is Manzoor Pashteen, and the movement aims to raise voices against the violation of human rights. It raises voice against missing persons in KPK and Balochistan province and has been founded in 2014 by eight students. However, the ban on this major non-political party raises serious concerns.
Another important thing to mention here that the two members of PTM (Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement) namely Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar, have voted in favour of PDM government during the vote of no-confidence motion. And today, the government has put a ban on the entire non-political party citing concerns about national security of the country.

Also, a major meeting of PTM (Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement) was going to take place on 11th October with major heads of different tribes of KPK province. The government might has put a ban on PTM (Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement) to sabotage the upcoming major meeting of this non-political party.

Also, a few days back, their camp had also been attacked through the IG Peshawar. Thus, the government has not yet issued a detailed notification citing the reasons of the ban on PTM but it will be a major setback for the missing persons of KPK as the movement aims to raise voices for their cause.
