Imran Khan, the founder of PTI and currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail, Rawalpindi, has conveyed a powerful message to his supporters regarding the upcoming September 8 rally. From behind bars, Imran Khan urges participation in the rally from all party members and supporters to attend in full force, emphasizing the importance of peaceful participation despite any challenges they may face. Thus, Imran Khan urges participation from everyone to stand firm, unite, and make their voices heard, demonstrating their commitment to the movement’s goals while maintaining peace and order.
Speaking to reporters, Khan outlined the three key objectives of the September 8 rally, stressing its significance in the party’s ongoing struggle.
- Return of our stolen mandate
- Achieve true independence from the elite-capture of this country
- Establish an independent judiciary in the country
Therefore, Imran Khan urges participation from all the supporters across the country to attend this rally as it would direct the future decisions of Pakistan. He said, “Now there will be a gathering on September 8. I am asking the entire nation to come out on September 8. Do not tolerate any kind of obstruction on that day.”
He further stated, “On February 8, they stole our mandate. Our people won by 60,000-70,000 votes. If four constituencies are opened, their theft will be caught. People don’t trust the rulers. The country has been made a banana republic.”
Hence, Imran Khan urges participation in the September 8 rally, declaring it a crucial gathering for those who believe in the cause.
Imran Khan strongly condemned terrorism, emphasizing that it is causing immense harm to the country. He proposed initiating a dialogue with the Afghan Taliban government, highlighting that cooperation with the Kabul regime is crucial to putting an end to terrorist activities within Pakistan. Thus, ahead of the September 8 rally, Imran Khan urges participation from all corners of the country, emphasizing the significance of this event in the political landscape
Khan stressed that without collaboration from Afghanistan, efforts to eradicate terrorism in the region would remain incomplete.
Imran Khan further stated, “I suggest that we have to talk to Afghanistan to end terrorism from Pakistan. We [the then PTI government] talked to an anti-Pakistan government of [former Afghan President] Ashraf Ghani, so the problem of terrorism could be solved. You send Afghan refugees back, did the terrorism end? Terrorism has not ended, but hatred has increased.”
