In a recent news, a grand jirga has been held today at Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar in order to resolve conflict regarding the three-day Aman Jirga of already banned Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) as well as the ongoing tensions in the region. It should be noted that KPK Governor, Faisal Karim Kundi, along with Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, were also present at the CM House, Peshawar, in this meeting.
Participated in the meeting called by the Chief Minister on PTM's Pashtuns National Jarga. We demanded from all the political parties in the meeting to allow PTM's Jarga to be held. Our demand has been accepted and the federal and provincial govts will allow the Jarga tomorrow.

However, it is pertinent to mention here that the CM KPK, Ali Amin Gandapur stated that it is his responsibility to carry out the conduct of a peaceful jirga as all the political parties of KPK had given him the responsibility. In a statement, he said, “I am grateful to all the parliamentarians and political leaders for participating in the jirga on my invitation. I also thank all the parliamentarians and political leaders for trusting me to lead this jirga.”

Gandapur further stated that today’s jirga was essential to restore peace in the region and said that through today’s peaceful talks, we hope to find a common solution to the problem which we are facing currently. He said that peaceful negotiations are a best way to solve the problems in the best possible way.

On that note, CM KPK is optimistic that through this jirga, the issue of conflict in the region could be solved easily and the concerns of PTM will also be addressed. He also asked for the unity among all the stakeholders involved and stated that it is essential for addressing and solving conflicts in the region.
