In a recent development, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has taken a significant step towards addressing the internal rifts within the party. The leadership held a series of meetings to resolve internal rifts within the party. A special committee has been formed to resolve these issues, and to lead this effort, the former President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi, has been appointed as the chair. Dr. Alvi will be responsible for listening to the concerns and grievances of party members, ensuring that every voice is heard.
The committee will gather and review a detailed report outlining the internal conflicts and issues within PTI. This report will also include recommendations aimed at fostering unity and strengthening the party from within. Dr. Arif Alvi’s involvement underscores the importance PTI places to resolve internal conflicts amicably, reflecting a commitment to maintaining harmony and cohesion as well as to resolve internal rifts within the party.
Regarding this, one of the PTI leaders stated, “We have been trying to convince him to play his role. In case [he] declines, we may look for some other figure who has to be acceptable and well respected for all sections of the party.” Hence, mediation efforts are underway to resolve internal rifts that have emerged in recent months.
It’s important to note that this decision comes in the wake of a disagreement between Aleema Khan, the sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, and PTI leader Raoof Hassan regarding the dissemination of Bushra Bibi’s message about her meeting with Imran Khan in jail. Aleema Khan expressed concern that sharing this message could lead to misinformation, potentially fueling further misunderstandings and unrest. She emphasized the importance of keeping such details confidential to resolve internal rifts and to avoid the spread of false narratives and to preserve calm in an already volatile situation.
Furthermore, ARY News has reported that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is making renewed efforts to collaborate with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F). In pursuit of this, a delegation was sent to meet with JUI-F leader Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman. According to PTI leader Raoof Hassan, the delegation engaged in discussions aimed at exploring ways to work together on parliamentary and legislative matters.
