Imran Khan’s sisters, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, have been presented before the Duty Magistrate, Azhar Nadeem’s court today after they were arrested from the D-Chowk two days before. It should be noted that one-day physical remand for both of them have been approved by the Duty Magistrate, on the basis of which they have been presented in the magistrate court today.
So after keeping the women confined in unknown location for 2 nights without producing them before a magistrate today suddenly they were produced. IK sisters were given 1 day physical remand while the other women were sent on judicial for 14 days. ATA being abused ad nauseum. https://t.co/bO3VOae5gT

However, it is pertinent to mention here that police had requested a 20-day physical remand for both Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, however, the magistrate court has approved only one-day physical remand for both of them.

It should be noted that according to Article 10 of the constitution of Pakistan, the accused on physical remand should be presented before the magistrate court within 24 hours but both Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan have been presented after more than 24 hours before the court and the magistrate had not inquired police about this.

On that note, the Islamabad police have arrested both the sisters of Imran Khan, Aleema Khan and Uzma Khan, on Friday, as they were heading to reach the protest at D-Chowk. Following the federal government orders, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) authorities have also imposed section 144 in the city, restricting any public gatherings and groupings in the city and the security measures have also been tightened. Rawalpindi Metro Bus Service has also been suspended under further notice and double-riding on motorcycles is also prohibited in the city and the suburbs.
Instead of Discharge Magistrate has given a one day remand of @Aleema_KhanPK and Uzma Khan, remand in complete contravention of Remand law shows why it’s important to show resilience against illegal #Form47Government

Moreover, the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has also advised its passengers to take safely and timely routes while coming to the Islamabad International Airport as all the flights have been operating as per the routine.
