In a latest development, a high-level Saudi delegation arrived in Pakistan today and has been headed by Saudi’s Investment minister, Khalid Bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih. It should be noted that it is a three-day visit and a $2 billion deal is expected to finalize in this delegation, opening doors of business opportunities for Pakistanis.

This 130-member delegation has been received from the Noor Khan Airbase by Petroleum minister, Musadik Malik and Commerce Minister, Jam Kamal Khan. The Deputy Prime Minister, Ishaq Dar, was also present in hosting the delegation on their first day and lauds the efforts of Saudi Arabia in supporting Pakistan when it is going through economic challenges.

However, it is pertinent to mention here that the Kingdom has also announced to construct 5,000 schools in Pakistan, easing the access to education for young children easier. Moreover, on this occasion, the deputy Prime Minister, Ishaq Dar, stated, “The Saudi Minister for Investment will finalise various B2B investment proposals, estimated to exceed $2 billion.”

Not to mention, a journalist has also asked about the opening of “Albaik”, one of the famous food chains of Saudi Arabia, to one of the members of delegation. He stated that Saudi Arabia is currently analyzing the market forces and accessing the options required to open this food chain here. However, the decision regarding opening Albaik in Pakistan is yet to finalize.

It should be noted that the deputy Prime Minister, Ishaq Dar, on addressing the 130-member delegation of Saudi Arabia stated that Pakistan eagerly awaits the arrival of the Saudi’s King, Muhammad Bin Salman, as it has very cordial and familial relations with Saudi Arabia.

The session has been held at Pakistan Saudi Arabia Business Forum in Islamabad and while addressing it, the Saudi Arabia’s Investment Minister, Al-Falih, stated, “I think there are essentially no limits to what Saudi Arabia and Pakistan can do in the economic sphere, just like there are no limits to our friendship, to our bonds, to our historic relations.”
