In a latest news, Imran Khan, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) has sent a message from Adiala Jail. He appreciated the people of Pakistan for their unwavering spirit and faith in their fight for Haqeeqi Azaadi. Imran Khan commended the protestors for their patience and bravery through which they have fought through police’s heavy selling, chemicals released from helicopters and trenches and nails on the motorway.

Imran Khan has also appreciated the role played by women and elderly in this protest and urged all the supporters to keep heading to D-Chowk and join CM KPK, Ali Amin Gandapur’s convoy. Imran Khan also urged people from Punjab to gather at Minar e Pakistan, Lahore today for the protest.
The Islamabad police have launched a strict crackdown on PTI protestors as it has started firing tear gas in order to disperse them. The PTI protestors began gathering at D-Chowk in Islamabad on the call of Imran Khan but the federal government is taking them on strict hands. Not to mention, around 6 PTI protestors have been arrested from D-Chowk, Islamabad bringing the nationwide arrests to 30.

However, the zeal and enthusiasm of PTI protestors is continuously increasing as they are making their way for a peaceful protest at D-chowk. A large number of people are still on their way to reach the venue along with CM KPK, Ali Amin Gandapur, crossing all the hurdles placed by the federal government.
Notably, at the Burhan Interchange, the police tried to stop the convoy of PTI protestors coming from KPK which further escalated the situation. The police fired tear gas shells on them as well while trying to disperse them. Also, the Islamabad authorities have sealed all the routes towards D-Chowk and Rawalpindi, cutting access for the PTI protestors to smoothly come at the venue of the protest.

Following the federal government orders, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) authorities have also imposed section 144 in the city, restricting any public gatherings and groupings in the city and the security measures have also been tightened. Rawalpindi Metro Bus Service has also been suspended under further notice and double-riding on motorcycles is also prohibited in the city and the suburbs.
Moreover, the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has also advised its passengers to take safely and timely routes while coming to the Islamabad International Airport as all the flights have been operating as per the routine.
