In a recent development, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, has delivered his message to the nation from Adiala Jail. He has pinpointed some key details and developments about the ongoing judicial turmoil in the country and has also raised concerns about the injustices being done to him, the party workers and especially the female party workers. At the end of his message, he has called for a peaceful protest in various cities and on following dates:
- October 2: Mianwali, Faislabad and Bahawalpur
- October 4: D-Chowk Rawalpindi
- October 5: Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore
- However, it is pertinent to mention here that Imran Khan has first talked about the “London Plan” which according to him, has been fully exposed. Criticizing on the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Imran Khan stated that Isa is not giving a level playing field to us and is giving unnecessary advantage to the “extension mafia”. Khan said that while his role demands justice and accountability from him, he doesn’t seem to do that.
- Imran Khan asserted that the recent efforts of amending the constitution are destroying the integrity of the parliament. He said that dismantling the supreme court would have bitter repercussions as it would destroy the very essence of justice system in the country. He also stated that women of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf are behind the bars but no one is listening their cases.

Khan also commended the people of Rawalpindi for their enthusiasm in the recent peaceful protest held at Rawalpindi a day before. Khan appreciated their resilience and stated that they kept standing and protesting peacefully despite being exposed to tear gas, shelling and live bullets. He also appreciated the role of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Ali Amin Gandapur, and stated that he has played a vital role in leading the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa.
On that note, Khan asserted the fact that democracy needs freedom and when democracy arrives, the rule of law and accountability automatically follow. He said that rule of law helps in establishing justice system in the country while accountability allows the common people to elect their leader through the power of their votes. He stated that we need true freedom and it cannot be achieved like a piece of cake. For that, a nation has to do continuous struggle.
