Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, who is currently imprisoned at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, is facing another legal challenge. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has decided to open an inquiry against him because of a recent post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account. The post under scrutiny is as follows:

This is not the first time in the history of this country that one individual has put the entire country at stake to protect his hold on power. (General) Yahya Khan also betrayed the Awami League and…
According to the FIA, this particular post is “highly controversial” and has raised serious concerns. As a result, the agency has formed a four-member committee to investigate the matter. This team will visit Khan in Adiala Jail to question him about the post.
The Cyber Crime Wing of the FIA has already dispatched a team to the jail to begin their investigation. This latest development adds to Khan’s ongoing legal troubles, as authorities continue to scrutinize his actions even while he remains behind bars.

However, it is pertinent to mention here that the former prime minister, Imran Khan, has once again repeated his allegations against the accountability court judge and a top judge. His X post states, “A small powerful elite dominates all the resources, power, and control of the country. I say to the entire nation that they have to come out for a street movement to protect our freedom. Our movement is a jihad [struggle] for democracy. I ask the judiciary to stand up for the rule of law. No investments are coming into the country because of no rule of law.”
