In a powerful display of unity and resolve, the Balochistan Assembly has unanimously condemned the recent spate of terrorist attacks that have shaken the province. During a session on Tuesday, lawmakers from across the political spectrum came together to voice their unwavering commitment to peace and stability in the region. With firm resolve, the Balochistan Assembly declared that Balochistan will never surrender to the forces of terror, vowing instead to continue its relentless fight for the future of its people.
It is pertinent to mention here that a resolution has been passed for this cause in Balochistan Assembly and the Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, stated, “Our doors are open for dialogue with those who seek to engage within the parameters of the Constitution, but not with those responsible for killing innocent people and desecrating the national flag”.
At the same time, Sarfraz Bugti also asserted the fact that dialogue will not be possible with those “who send our daughters as suicide bombers instead of encouraging them to pursue higher education abroad.”
The legislators of Balochistan Assembly were particularly vocal in their demand for stringent action against those responsible for the brutal attacks on August 26. They called for a comprehensive and decisive response, emphasizing that such acts of violence must be met with the full force of the law. The Assembly’s message was clear: terrorism will not be tolerated, and those who seek to destabilize Balochistan will face the consequences of their actions.
However, the Balochistan Assembly also recognized that military action alone is not enough to address the deep-rooted issues fueling terrorism and insurgency in the province. In a forward-thinking move, the lawmakers expressed their intent to initiate a dialogue with all relevant stakeholders. By engaging in meaningful discussions, they hope to reach a lasting and sustainable solution to the complex challenges that have plagued Balochistan for far too long.
This commitment to dialogue reflects a broader understanding that peace in Balochistan cannot be achieved through force alone. It requires addressing the underlying grievances and working collaboratively to build a future where all citizens can live in safety and prosperity. The Balochistan Assembly’s stand is a testament to the resilience of its people and their determination to overcome the obstacles in their path to peace.
